Financial Literacy program grows in response to community needs
Our financial literacy program works with economically disadvantaged families and individuals to educate them about their financial affairs so that they can make the best financial decisions and be empowered to make lasting changes in their lives. Through a series of workshops, outreach events and information fairs we reach hundred of local residents each year.
We understand the challenges that our participants face in attending class so we often provide an incentive for those who attend each course as well as meals and refreshments, free child care and host the meeting at an easy and convenient location.
Workshop topics include credit repair, understanding credit reports, budgeting, building assets and more.
