"Nosey Neighbor" campaign supports innovative safety initiatives
The Nosey Neighbor campaign has supported several community initiatives including:
- The 63rd Street drummers are helping to reclaim corners on Commerical Avenue that often are a haven for crime and gangs. Their presence brings peace and creativity to the community.
- The South Chicago Art Center is creating a gathering place in the Artists' Garden where neighbors who otherwise wouldn't meet each other come together to reach common goals.
- The Knowlege Hook-Up, is creating blocks clubs and a newsletter to unite neighbors and form connections.
- The Harlem Theatre Company is hosted a play, Zooman and the Sign, to raise awareness about gang violence and its effects on our communities.
