Safe Passages Program returns to Bowen High School for 2011-12

Students returned to Bowen High School to see the familiar faces of the 29 "community watchers," local residents hired to watch over students as they travel to and from school.

Claretian Associates is running the safety program at Bowen High School through a contract with the Chicago Public Schools and their Safe Passage program.

The community watchers were out on their posts early on the first day of school welcoming the students back from summer.
