Angela
Vick, Executive Director, joined Claretian Associates
in 2004 after three years as the Senior Director of Real Estate
Development for Bethel New Life, a faith-based non-profit
organization serving Chicago's West Side. She has also worked
for several years as a Project Manager and Architect for private
design and architectural firms in Chicago. Angela holds Masters
Degrees in Architecture and Business Administration from the
University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She has also spent
time studying in Europe and last June she completed the Urban
Developers Program co-sponsored by the University of Illinois
at Chicago and the Chicago Rehab Network.
Lupe Casteneda, Project Manager,
Kate Graham, Associate Director, is responsible for resource development and communications for the organization. Kate earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Indiana University and a certificate in Non-Profit Administration from University of Illinois at Chicago. From 1991-1998, Kate worked at Claretian Associates and Villa Guadalupe in a variety of capacities including Director of Resource Development of both organizations, as well as Executive Director of Villa Guadalupe Senior Services. She returned to Claretian Associates in 2003.
Jennie
Martinez, Receptionist, joined Claretian Associates
in 2000 as the afternoon receptionist. She is the friendly
voice who answers the phone and greets clients in the afternoon.
Jennie is a life-long South Chicago resident.
Froilan
Nuñez, Controller, joined Claretian Associates
in 2003, providing agency and project accounting including
long-term financial planning, serving as a liaison with
banks and other lenders, preparing budgets and monitoring
financial compliance for specific grants and contracts.
Froilan has ten years of accounting experience primarily
in the health care industry. He is currently studying business
administration at Truman College.
Graciela
Robledo, Assistant to the Director/Community Outreach Coordinator
, provides
administrative support to the staff including assisting
the Executive Director with Board of Directors relations,
managing the office, coordinating community outreach initiatives
and assisting in property management and marketing. Graciela
holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from
Saint Xavier University.
Daena
Tamborini, Claretian Volunteer ,
assists the Executive Director and Project Manager in all
phases of real estate development including Casa Kirk and
New Homes for South Chicago. Daena is also involved in LEAD
South Chicago, a resident leadership program, as well as
block club organizing. She joined the Claretian Associates
staff as a Claretian Volunteer in 2003 with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Architecture from The Catholic University
of America and plans to pursue a Masters degree in the Fall
of 2005. Before joining Claretian Associates, Daena spent
two summers working for Perkins Eastman Architects, PC at
their Manhattan, New York office and had previously worked
for the Mylan Architectural Group.
