Indian Ridge Marsh Hike

Wednesday, May 19, 2010, 9:00 am – 11:00 am

Chicago Department of Environment

Address: Indian Ridge Marsh, Chicago, IL

Join us for a hike through Indian Ridge Marsh to hear about proposed plans for the 130-acre ecological restoration effort. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is the lead on this project with the Chicago Department of Environment as the local sponsor. Funding is expected to be allocated later this year. If so, the project will begin in October 2010 and run through 2012. Dress for the weather - clothing and shoes may get wet and muddy. Call Jerry Attere at (312) 744-9136 to RSVP and get parking information. (The marsh is bounded by 116th street on the north, Torrence Avenue on the east, the Calumet River on the south, and the Norfolk and Western railroad on the west.)
