Angela Hurlock

Angela Hurlock joined Claretian Associates as the Executive Director in 2004 after three years as the Senior Director of Real Estate Development for Bethel New Life, a non-profit serving Chicago’s West Side. She worked for several years as a Project Manager and Architect for private design and architectural firms in Chicago. Angela holds Masters Degrees in Architecture and Business Administration from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She completed the Urban Developers Program co-sponsored by the University of Illinois at Chicago and the Chicago Rehab Network. Angela is a Board member with the Chicago Rehab Network and the South Chicago Chamber of Commerce.

 

In 2009, Angela was selected as one of 14 visionaries as part of the Chicago Matters: Beyond Burnham series, Chicago's award-winning multimedia public affairs series sponsored by The Chicago Community Trust, WTTW11, WBEZ Chicago Public Radio, the Chicago Public Library and The Chicago Reporter. Also in 2009, Angela was selected by Fifth Third Bank as one of their six most influential African-Americans in celebration of Black History Month. She also received a 2008 Neighborhood Leader Award from Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago. Angela and her husband, Peter are proud South Chicago homeowners and active in with their block club.
