News—A new model of affordable public transportation began rolling in January with the South Chicago Streetcar, led by the South Chicago Chamber of Commerce and funded through the City's Special Service Area #5. The goal of the new streetcar system is to keep retail dollars in the community by bringing shoppers to Commercial Avenue.
