Pathway Senior Living's new supportive housing community, the Victory Centre of South Chicago, is employing dozens for local residents for its new facility that opened in May on the 3200 block of east 92nd Street.

A new model of affordable public transportation began rolling in January with the South Chicago Streetcar, led by the South Chicago Chamber of Commerce and funded through the City's Special Service Area #5. The goal of the new streetcar system is to keep retail dollars in the community by bringing shoppers to Commercial Avenue.
