Winter Wonder Fest

Claretian Associates and Communities Partnering 4 Peace (CP4P) brought holiday cheer to the SALUD Center on Thursday, December 18th.  Families enjoyed an amazing performance by the Hoofer Tap Dancers and got a chance to take pictures with Santa. Everyone enjoyed delicious food, hot chocolate, cookie decorating, face painting, and music. Toys for all ages were distributed.  ​

Communities Partnering 4 Peace  
​
On Wednesday, November 26th, Mayor Brandon Johnson visited the CP4P Light in the Night in South Deering. Mayor Brandon met with community members and showed his support for the work Claretian is doing with violence intervention. The CP4P team distributed warm Thanksgiving meals to community residents.  ​

Staff Highlights

Bank of America Neighborhood Builders Award 
​
Claretian Associates was honored to receive the 2025 Bank of America Neighborhood Builders® Award in recognition of its work in building and strengthening South Chicago and the surrounding communities. In addition to a $200,000 grant in flexible funding, Angela Hurlock, CEO, and Tevonne Ellis, Chief Program Officer, will participate in a two-year leadership program. Claretian joins a nationwide network of peer organizations and gains access to valuable resources to further expand our impact.

Staff Highlights

Staff Holiday Party

Claretian Associates celebrated their annual Staff Holiday Party at Harborside Golf Center. The staff enjoyed brunch and holiday music. Throughout the party, staff had the chance to participate in games and raffles. Prizes included a paid day off, lunch with the CEO, holiday care packages, and gift cards.
