The U.N.I.T.Y Squad, a sub program for the South Chicago Neighborhood Network (SCNN), is a program that provides leadership and development skills for youth 14-17 years of age. U.N.I.T.Y stands for United Network Influencing the Transformation of Youth. The core curriculum consists of four components.

• Leadership - learning development skills
• Trauma informed - learning the effects and ways to cope with trauma
• Civic engagement - serving the community
• Workforce preparedness - career options, college exploration, interview speech and training, resumes, etc.

• Trained in Mental Health First Aid 
• Trained in money management and financial literacy 
• We collaborate with One Summer Chicago youth program. Participants will gain over 68 badges while participating in this program
• The youth participate in PlayStreets for community engagement and leadership
