For more than twenty years, Villa Guadalupe has served as a model of excellence in senior living, providing a comprehensive array of life enhancing services to South Chicago seniors including quality apartments, bilingual social and health services and other enriching activities. Seniors have access to health services, social programs and case management at no charge.

Mission

Villa Guadalupe Senior Services mission is to enhance the quality of life for older persons in South Chicago and ensure their dignity by providing affordable housing and supportive services for this under served population. Villa Guadalupe encourages autonomy and self-determination, fosters a sense of security, and affirms the individual’s ability to maintain and enhance relationships with family, church, and community. Engaging activities and vital services open to all seniors.

  • Engaging programs such as exercise and dance classes, jewelry-making, holiday events and day trips.
  • Case management, health screenings and referrals, immigration and advocacy services.
  • Individual health services, seminars and support groups.
  • Inter generational programs with local schools
  • Senior employment opportunities. Senior Services Coalition of Southeast Chicago
  • Since 1997, Villa Guadalupe has convened the Senior Services Coalition of Southeast Chicago, a 40-agency member coalition which provides services within the southeast Chicago community. The group meets to network with each other to improve services for seniors.
  • The Coalition hosts the annual Cinco de Mayo Health and Resource Fair, which serves more than 400 seniors and their families with 60 providers.
